[Exclusive] Meet Your New Female Exorcist in Bloody “The Exorcist” Episode 3 Clip

Published

“All nature will be renewed by fire.”

Tonight’s brand new episode of Fox’s “The Exorcist” is particularly exciting, as it was directed by none other than Ti West (V/H/S, The House of the Devil, The Sacrament)!

In “Unclean,” which should make for perfect Friday the 13th viewing, “Marcus and Tomas travel to Seattle where they find a young girl targeted by a force of pure evil.”

We can exclusively reveal ahead of the episode that we’ll meet brand new character Mouse in it, portrayed by Zuleikha Robinson (“Lost”, “The Following”). As creator Jeremy Slater explained to us, Mouse is “our first Female Exorcist.”

He continued, “As a woman, she was not sanctioned or taught by the Church, so Mouse had to go to other religions and spirituality to train herself. And her methods are far different than the typical “Ritual and Repetition” taught by the Catholics to drive out demons. As her unofficial contact told Bennet: ‘Try not to let her have a gun.'”

Meet Mouse in an exclusive Episode 3 clip below!

In the new season…

“Six months after leaving Chicago, Father Tomas continues his training to become an exorcist under the watchful eye of his partner Marcus Keane. Their travels lead them to a troubled young woman in rural Montana, where their investigation puts them in the crosshairs of her extended family. But as Tomas’ skills continue to grow, Marcus begins to worry that his apprentice is taking unnecessary risks.”

“The action then switches to a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle, where Andy Kim (John Cho, “Star Trek,” “Harold & Kumar”) runs a group home for at-risk foster children, whose lives are disrupted when the state sends a social worker (Li Jun Li, “Quantico,” “Blindspot”) to determine whether the foster home should be closed. Little do they know the true danger is yet to come: a malevolent presence that has set its sights upon one of the children in Andy’s care.”

The main Season 2 cast includes Alfonso Herrera as Father Tomas Ortega; Ben Daniels as Father Marcus Keane; John Cho as Andy Kim; Kurt Egyiawan as Father Bennett; Brianna Hildebrand as Verity; Zuleikha Robinson as Mouse; and Li Jun Li as Rose.

“The Exorcist” is from Morgan Creek Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Jeremy Slater. Slater, Sean Crouch, Rupert Wyatt, Roy Lee, James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall exec produce.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has two awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

‘The Haunting of Pennhurst’ Exclusive Clip Trains Scare Actors For Historic Haunt in Tribeca Doc

The Haunting of Pennhurst Clip

The past and present collide in haunting, poignant ways in the genre documentary The Haunting of Pennhurst, which sees a Halloween haunt serve as a reclamation of true historic horrors.

Ahead of its world premiere at the 25th Tribeca Film Festival, we have an exclusive clip that sees scare actors in training for the Halloween season. The catch? This haunt is opening at the historic Pennhurst State School & Hospital site, a facility that caused immense harm to its disabled patients over decades of its operation.

In the documentary, “For over seventy years, Pennhurst State School & Hospital was called a place of care. What happened inside killed over half its population. It closed in 1987, leaving behind unmarked graves and an unresolved history. Today, on those same grounds, disabled performers – many living with the same conditions that once sent people to Pennhurst – put on their makeup, pull on their costumes, and prepare to scare people for a living.

“Through grit, compassion, and buckets of blood, the eclectic performers of the Pennhurst Asylum haunted attraction are wrestling with a space that is at once a lucrative business and a gravesite.”

The upcoming documentary hails from directing trio Nathan Stenberg, Mike Attie, and Katarina Poljak, who explore their socially-relevant subject through archival footage, first-hand accounts, and an immersive verité.

“Pennhurst has haunted us since we first passed through its dragon-tooth gates; the horrors of the institution echo through the site today. We are so grateful to bring this film to the Tribeca Festival, particularly the Escape from Tribeca section, which feels right for a story where past and present bleed together. We hope audiences leave unnerved and asking the same uncomfortable questions we did,” Attie, Stenberg, and Poljak said in a statement.

Watch the clip below that sees disabled and neurodivergent scare actors learning the ropes of a Halloween haunt, reclaiming the site’s grim history in the process.
