Move Into Uni’s ‘Dream House’ This January

Dream House (review) is the tale of Will Atenton (Daniel Craig; Cowboys & Aliens, Quantum of Solace), a high-profile, Manhattan publisher who leaves the big city behind to relocate his wife Libby (Rachel Weisz; The Constant Gardener, The Lovely Bones) and their two daughters to a quaint New England town. As the family settles into their new lives they learn that their beloved dream home has a history of murder. When Will dares to delve further into the mysteries of the house, he is not sure if he is seeing ghosts or if the tragic events are somehow related to his past. The only clues come from his cryptic neighbor, Ann (Naomi Watts, The Ring, J. Edgar), who helps him piece together this haunting puzzle. Also featuring Marton Csokas (Alice in Wonderland), Elias Koteas (The Fourth Kind) and Jane Alexander (The Unborn), Dream House is available on Blu-ray Combo Pack with UltraViolet, DVD, Digital Download and On Demand January 31, 2012 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Morgan Creek Films. Dark Castle Heads to the ‘Dark Moon’

There are a lot of problems circling multiple “found footage” projects, only this one appears to have a happy ending, so says Heat Vision. In the wake of that, on Tuesday, Roland Emmerich pulled the plug on The Zone, another “found footage” project that was to have started shooting next week. The site reports that yet another project was shelved — but this time Dark Castle is in negotiating to pick it up in turnaround. Read on all about Dark Moon, from the director of The Fourth Kind. Penned by Magnat, the story centers on a woman who barely survives an attack by a serial killer and wakes up in hospital with a head injury that leaves her “face-blind.” No longer able to recognize faces, she must navigate a world in which facial features change each time she loses sight of them. All the while the killer is closing in, determined to eliminate the potential witness. (more…) READ MORE
