Bandai is Making a ‘Godzilla’ Statue That Costs Well Over $40,000

Bandai is going to be opening its new Human Size Figure line with the King of Monsters himself, Godzilla! The figure clocks in at over 192 centimeters in height, which adjusted puts it at 6’4″. Now, many of you might be saying that the average height of a person is shorter than that, which you’d be correct. However, this height is 100% accurate to the size of the suit worn by the actor playing the titular character for the 1991 film Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, which this statue is based off of.

Now, here’s where things get dicey if you decide that you want one. First of all, it costs 4,482,000 yen, which converts to just over $42,500 (as of this post going live). Second, there are only 10 of these being made, with the people who get to have one being randomly selected after entering through their premium website. Please keep in mind that the pre-order applications open up on November 7th, so there’s a little bit of time left to start collecting bottles and cans for their deposits…

Cheers to Rocket News 24 for the find!
