I’ve been hoarding a bunch of small stories that I can’t really justify giving individual attention to. The first, and most frustrating of all, are the continued reports of Bill Murray’s unwillingness to read the latest draft of Ghostbusters 3, penned by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. At a recent screening of Ghostbusters in Los Angeles, Producer Joe Medjuck told the audience “Sony [Columbia Pictures] says they’d like to make it, everyone thinks it’s a good script. Bill has heard it’s a good script, but he hasn’t read it. Bill’s like that – he just says he’s busy.” Adding more fuel to the fire, Screenrant provided a quote from Lee Eisenberg: “Right now, we have a script we haven’t worked on probably in a couple of months, and we’re waiting for Bill Murray to read it. People seem excited about it, and the studio seems high on it.” I don’t know why Murray is working against the entire Ghostbusters team and the fans. I just seems so, selfish? I dunno…
Another super brief story comes courtesy of Badass Digest who report that Orphan, House of Wax and Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra “is attached to a spec script by Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy (the guys who wrote upcoming Captain Blood scifi remake) called Bram Stoker’s Dracula Project. Info is hush hush, but it’s being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way.”
Lastly, Figures has released fresh images of the new Ghostface action figure featuring both the soft skirt and sculpted skirts. While Dimension Films will release Wes Craven’s Scream 4 in theaters April 15, the action figures aren’t due in stores until May.
