It’s time for a bit of “man, it’s a small world” news! We were sent the first info and an exclusive still from Jonathan Blitstein’s independent horror feature Another Kind. Looking over the information, it appears that Blitstein grew up in the same area, and went to the same high school as both Tom (Blueteamno) and myself. I love when stuff like this happens! Anyways, Another Kind is a psychological science-fiction thriller, written and directed by Blitstein (Let Them Chirp Awhile), which wrapped shooting earlier this month in the Catskill Mountains.
“‘Another Kind’ is about four unprepared hikers from New York City on a winter camping expedition in the Catskills. Their adventure soon turns sour when they encounter mysterious forces in the woods.”
The film is part of Vicart Entertainment ‘s new “micro-budget film slate” developing the new work of up and coming writers and directors. The film was shot digitally with the RED Camera. It was produced over a three-month period. Vicart is eyeing a big festival opening for the film before a theatrical release.
The cast of Another Kind are four up and coming actors fresh out of top theater programs at NYU and Juilliard. They are Jamie Law, Nate Miller, Laura Ramadei and Patrick Woodall. The film is produced by Vicart Entertainment (Jay Schweid, Arthur Boujenah, Aleksandar Kosutic).
