Horror In Your House: July 19th, 2011

This would be the definition of a slow week. So, instead of buying anything here I would catch up on recent past weeks and pick up Insidious, Wake Wood, or Rammbock if you haven’t yet. Have a nice week and try not to melt in this summer heat.

HELLRAISER 8: HELLWORLD (Blu-ray) – Echo Bridge Entertainment

When five hardcore Internet gamers are invited to a special party thrown by the website Hellworld, they are about to endure a night of unspeakable terror they believed only existed in cyber space. Fresh, entertaining and crawling with amazing special effects–don’t miss the chilling return of Pinhead in this awesome thriller.

Micah Says: I remember when this came out I still had some hope. Lance Henriksen and Kathryn Winnick are two nice choices to star in a horror flick, but watching this film consists mostly of the legendary suffering Pinhead is always yammering about. Also, I’ve yet to see an Echo Bridge Blu release that is worth buying.

MONSTER WOLF – Screen Media

A creature of ancient legend manifests, bound to protect the ecological balance of the land and killing anyone that threatens it. This elusive guardian is initially both feared and celebrated by the locals, but when a deadly curse affects them all, they must unite and recapture the monster wolf s spirit or face their ultimate doom.

THE REEF (DVD / Blu-ray) – Image Entertainment

Based on a true story, The Reef follows four friends whose boat capsizes on the Great Barrier Reef. Forced to swim to land & safety, they are stalked by a relentless 15-foot great white shark.

Micah Says: Sharks. I’d watch this. On Netflix Instant. At 2AM. Maybe. But only after a lot of drinking.
