There’s going to be a ton of new film announcement out of Cannes, but we’ll get the ball rolling now.
Actively casting for a shoot later this year is The Witch of New Canaan Woode, an indie being produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy.
Bloody Disgusting learned exclusively that Robert Eggers will be directing from his own screenplay about “A witch who terrorizes a family who lives on a farm in the 1640’s.”
The film is loaded with possession and a heavy mystery surrounding which family member may be The Witch. The Witch, though, is described as being hideous and having a hunchback. An sticking to the stereotypes, she’ll be flying on a broomstick. Cool!
