UPDATE #1: Bloody Disgusting made a few phone calls and is sad to report that Philip Seymour Hoffman has NOT been cast in the remake. Rumor debunked. UPDATE #2: Production Weekly is reporting that filming begins first week of November in New Mexico and that the new title is officially Fish Head. Yeah, explain that one to me. Earlier today it was rumored that Philip Seymour Hoffman had been cast in Let Me In (now apparently “Fish Head”), Overture FIlms’ remake of Let the Right One In. Already on board as Kody Smit McPhee (The Road) who will play Owen (formerly Oskar), alongside Kick Ass‘ Chloe Moretz, who nabbed the part of Abby (formerly Eli). Let Me In is a direct adaptation of the book and not a direct remake of the Swedish movie. In the film Oskar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.
