One of the biggest surprises to come out of Vertigo’s quasi-relaunch is Dan Abnett’s Victorian Gothic title, The New Deadwardians. This book is ripe with puns, play on words, and witty dialogue that takes the zombie/vampire genres to a new level. This is easily the most refreshing undead tale in years, and if you have any love for 19th Century England, you’ll appreciate Abnett’s take on the era.
