[BD Review] Here’s Our Review Of ‘Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines’!!

WT5

Arriving on home video just yesterday was Fox Home Entertainment’s Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, the sequel to their prequel to the incredible 2003 slasher directed by Rob Schmidt. While some of the sequels have been quite entertaining (especially Part Two), Declan O’Brien’s latest really offended Evan Dickson.

‘Wrong Turn 5’ is easily the worst film in the series. I also believe that it’s one of the most worthless films I’ve seen in my adult life… I think part of the key here is the utter disdain the film has for its audience. This movie doesn’t care if you like it or not. It’s not meant to be enjoyed, it’s meant to be bought.

After watching the 2nd Wrong Turn, it turns out that there is no need to go on with the series.
And come on, I can’t remember the last real good movie on direct to video..

It’s like these movies are trying to as shitty and shallow as possible.

Evan, you won’t believe this but i watched this and it’s not too bad!!!! lol. it’s much better than both parts 3 & 4. it’s still not a great/good movie per se but it’s worth watching. the tractor kills are my favorite and i really liked the Sheriff. she was cool.

      You have lost your mind

I don’t believe it either. I take back my troll comment!

I enjoyed it. A dumb but fun time waster. Some great kills in this one, especially the two on the soccer field.

This is easily better than 3. No overlong sequences of prisoners bickering and a horrible tacked on ending.

        Evan, you’re assuming i had a mind! 🙂

MovieGeek, i stand corrected. lol. i don’t in any way love this movie but it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as 3 & 4. it wasn’t the worst way to kill some time (no pun intended). i just wish………..(SPOILER)

the sheriff had lived. i really liked her.

Yeah the prequel aspect is what I didn’t like. You knew who would live and die etc. They need to get away from that aspect if they do another film.

Ugh… just look at that picture. What are they using for FX these days??? Dung???

ok seriously I loved it! The Wrong Turn series, I’ll admit, is a guilty pleasure. The First one was the best by far, second one was fun, third one was ok but for me the worse of the bunch….I personally loved part 4….yes acting can be bad and some effects are cheesy but the movies are fun! again….LOVED IT!

  • I’ve seen 1 thru 4. I didn’t expect much from 5, but didn’t think it could be any worse than number 4…. I made it thru about 5 minutes of Wrong Turn 5 before throwing my hands in the air, screaming “That’s it for me!” and deleting it from my library permanently!

    • Oh and BTW, I love lost footage movies like VHS and Grave Encounters, so you know my standards are low!

I like all of these stupid films because they are exactly how I always view hillbillies and rednecks. This movie felt and looked cheap, but I did like the kill scenes. They were funny as a muthafucka.Whoever taakes the reigns on the next one needs to make that bitch grittier with better make-up and fx as well.Thats whasup.
