How Will ‘Resident Evil: Revelations’ Look On Consoles? Wonder No More

REV_banner

In case you missed it, earlier today Capcom confirmed that the previously Nintendo 3DS exclusive Resident Evil: Revelations is indeed coming to consoles. All of them, in fact. On May 21st, Revelations will hit the retail and digital space on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It’ll also run you a pretty penny, or 4,999 of them ($49.99). That’s a lot for a port of a year-old handheld game, even if it’s a good game. I was hoping there would be more to this port and that Capcom wasn’t trying to recoup some of the money they lost on Resident Evil 6, and it looks like this will bring the goods.

Visually, it looks noticeably better than the 3DS version, even if it still won’t be mistaken for similarly priced games, and it will come with several new additions, including a playable HUNK, a harder difficulty setting, and new weapons and custom parts. After the jump I have a trailer and a still very wet batch of screenshots for your viewing pleasure.

This is going to look bad ass on big screen TVs.

I never really paid attention to this when it was first released for the 3DS but I’m getting the impression it’s more like the classic RE games with RE4/5′s controls?

RE5′s Lost In Nightmares DLC was the best thing in RE games since RE:CVX. Sure 4 was good but it wasn’t horror.

This is great – I still haven’t picked up a 3DS, but I’ve only heard good things about this game. Can’t wait!
