The critically acclaimed GameCube survival horror title Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is getting a sequel (sort of), and it looks amazing. It’s being developed by Precursor Games, a start-up helmed by Silicon Knights founder Denis Dyack, and will be released in an episodic format — much like Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead.
Not long after Shadow of the Eternals was announced Precursor launched a crowd-funding campaign on their website to fund the first episode. Now, they’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to run alongside it and help get them the whopping $1.5 million they’ll require to develop the episode. Backers who supported the game through their website will be rewarded with an exclusive “Whateley Expose,” a digital collection of materials containing lore, manuscripts and clues.”
