Kickstarter Campaign For ‘Eternal Darkness’ Successor ‘Shadow Of The Eternals’ Now Live

The critically acclaimed GameCube survival horror title Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is getting a sequel (sort of), and it looks amazing. It’s being developed by Precursor Games, a start-up helmed by Silicon Knights founder Denis Dyack, and will be released in an episodic format — much like Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead.

Not long after Shadow of the Eternals was announced Precursor launched a crowd-funding campaign on their website to fund the first episode. Now, they’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to run alongside it and help get them the whopping $1.5 million they’ll require to develop the episode. Backers who supported the game through their website will be rewarded with an exclusive “Whateley Expose,” a digital collection of materials containing lore, manuscripts and clues.”

If it was on all consoles I would have no problem supporting this. The wii u is failing and not worth picking up because they don’t have any exclusives out for it and i’m just not a PC gamer. I hope they reach the goal though

I agree. If it were coming to XBLA and/or PSN, I’d support this in a heartbeat. I’ve never been a serious PC gamer, so hopefully this will do extraordinarily well so they’re forced to bring it to consoles. I’d even be happy with a retail package that has every episode, similar to what Telltale did with TWD.

      Agreed, guys.
