While Warner Bros. and Legendary teased the first ever look at the newest Godzilla at this past July’s San Diego Comic-Con, there was still quite a bit to reveal.
Thanks to to a fan out of Brazil, Kaijucast shared a close-up reveal of the big green monster out of an ongoing licensing expo in Sao Paulo!
Oddly enough, the first thing I noticed were his eyes, which reminded me of when New Line cast a new Jason Voorhees with “sympathetic eyes” for their 2003 Freddy vs. Jason. The new design depicted brings a lot of human elements to Godzilla’s face, especially to his ferocious gaze. Personally, I am enamored with the iconic creature’s new look, and can’t wait to see what director Gareth Edwards has in store for us come May 16, 2014.
“An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.“
