The ‘Godzilla’ HD Trailer Destroys Everything In Its Path!

The teaser trailer for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla is here, and it’s glorious! Watch the breathtaking footage below and then tell us what you think!

Monsters‘ Gareth Edwards directs the all star cast including Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, Yuki Morita, and C.J. Adams.

In theaters May 16, 2014, an epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Making his first appearance in 1954 (Gojira) Godzilla is a giant monster that lives in the sea that comes from the ocean to feed on mankind.

Is this guy jerking off while watching the trailer?

  • PeteyHalfSox

why leak this garbage with the douchebag in the background?

  • lupe

was that guy jerking his penis off while watching? cripes! i was watching this at work and my co-worker looked at me like I was a pervert!

  • Austin

I nearly turned it off bc of the dude recording. I mean, yea I get excited too but i’d STFU especially if I knew I was recording. what a re-re 😀

decent trailer, hard to see. read theres suppose to be multiple monsters… that’s what i’m talkin bout!

  • mfcmk1

Yeah I had to stop halfway through because of the guy recording. Seriously there is something majorly wrong with the person that’s recording this trailer. I will wait until a real version of the trailer comes out without having to listen to this retard in the background.

    • EvanDickson

@mfcmk1 it’s updated with HD now. Masturbating guy is gone.

  • Polsdofer

I was a little disappointed in the trailer… until i saw Godzilla at the end.

    • Polsdofer

Actually i take that back too man trailers now give you too much

  • DarrelDreadful

Consider my ticket bought. I know this is a teaser but I love the fact it didn’t show too much of anything. I don’t think I’ll even watch a full trailer now.

  • Awesome!

Next the Spider-Man sequel, Godzilla is one of the few films I’m really looking forward to next summer. The shot of the soldiers jumping out of the plane and into chaos was incredible, and not showing too much of Godzilla was a good thing. Keep the mystique! Can’t wait for this.

  • Skull-And-Crossbones

looks awesome. but who the hell sky dives onto a godzilla? that’s one way not to kill it lol.

    • ” but who the hell sky dives onto a godzilla?”

Lulz. I was thinking the same thing. I thought to myself, there’s gotta be a better and more discrete way to attack GOdzilla. lol.

  • djblack1313

WOW! this looks awesome! i’m not really a Godzilla fan but i think this movie looks fantastic! i’m in.

  • KaiSan

May or may not be good. I’ve been disappointed too many times by great looking trailers to bad movies. However, it does look as though they captured the dark feel of the original Gojira.

  • jaxx367

Awsome trailer!!! Looks excellent. One word, Epic!!! That roar at the end gave me chills

  • ThunderDragoon

Hell to the yeah!!! Opening day, I’ll be there.

  • Mr.Mirage

G-Fans of the world UNITE! We have nothing to lose but our god-damned minds!

From the soundtrack at the beginning (2001: A Space Odyssey, right?) and the stentorian pipes of Edward R. Murrow aka David Strathairn, the sound editing on the teaser is sheer nerdgasm.

While the next statements may piss off a few people… I am calling ’em as I sees ’em: the slightly flatter head, the holes in the skyscrapers… this is the U.S. Godzilla we were wanting when Matthew Broderick chased the iguana. It is also, from the looks of it, the fanboy cry that Cloverfield was a better U.S. Godzilla than the other Broderick version, and the best of all worlds were mashed into one seriously cool and possibly even dangerous film.

The danger? That someone decides this is the pun-intended Next Big Thing and we get choked on a glut of piss-poor attempts to follow.

Regardless: I now have something to look forward to in 2014. Bring on the Big Green, and awaaaay we go! (Hell to the yeah, if you missed the nerdgasm.)

Yes, Yes, Yes, I have been waiting for a really good updated version of Godzilla ever since Peter Jackson’s Excellent Remake of King Kong. And I believe this is it. I will be there opening night. The trailer was fine even though I would have liked to have seen a little more, I don’t want them to give too much away. So I’m cool with it, bring him on, Can’t Wait!!!

  • VictorCrowley

From what I can see in the trailer, the new Godzilla is conspicuously reminiscent of the 1998 version. Still looks like he is walking/running on all fours and the head has that iguana shape to it. Not digging it from the brief glimpses I got. What do Americans have against Godzilla being a two-legged badass who walks upright and towers over everything? Why does he always have to be a creature who scurries about like a lost pet?

    • AndrewSoukup24

Actually this Godzilla looks more like the original one in my opinion….he has that smaller head but its hard to tell from the preview 100% cause you don’t see him much

  • AndrewSoukup24

The trailer definitely looks amazing…gonna see this in the theater for sure…probably would be crazy in Imax.
