First Look At “The X-Files” Revival!!

EW has shared the first ever look at the now-filming “The X-Files” revival, scooping up shots of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, as Mulder and Scully, respectively, as well as news anchor Joel McHale, creator Chris Carter, and even Annet Mahendru.

FOX will debut the return of “The X-Files” on Sunday, January 24, at 10 p.m., immediately after the network’s broadcast of the NFL championship game.

Mulder and Scully will then settle in for a five-week run Mondays at 8 p.m.

Mitch Pileggi returns as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner, while William B. Davis will be back as the iconic Cigarette-Smoking Man in the new short-stack order of 6-episodes.

Veteran writers James Wong and Glen Morgan are also back, which could explain the alleged sequel to ‘Home’. The two writers collaborated on several of the series’ most acclaimed episodes and they’re each slated to write and direct one episode of the new season. Morgan will also join as executive producer with Chris Carter, who created the series.

Shooting continues at North Shore Studios in N. Vancouver through August 14th.
