We. Cannot. Wait.
As we told you earlier this month, the first season of Dredd producer Adi Shankar’s animated “Castlevania” series is headed to Netflix sometime this year, and you guys were as excited as we were when Shankar promised that it would be “super violent” and also “flip the vampire sub-genre on its head.” Ready for your very first sneak peek? You sure? 100% sure? Okay.
Shankar himself just posted the first piece of promotional art for the video game-inspired series over on his Facebook page, which you’ll find in all its crimson glory below!
From Netflix’s press site…
Inspired by the classic video game series, “Castlevania” is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert, and Adi Shankar.
