Digital comics distributor ComiXology has a giant sale on ‘Fanboys Vs. Zombies’ this weekend, with every issue of the series available for 0.99 cents. To celebrate the sale, BOOM Studios gave Bloody-Disgusting readers an exclusive free digital copy issue #1 as a gateway drug into the series.

Frank Miller Brings ‘RoboCop’ Back To Comics At Boom Studios!!

Hell. Yes. While Frank Miller has made some more than questionable statements in recent years, you’d have to be insane to not want more RoboCop. Boom! Studios just sent out a visual press release, which affirms Miller is back on board with “RoboCop” alongside Steven Grant, Korkut Öztekin, and Declan Shalvey. [Interview] Brandon Seifert Chats ‘Witch Doctor’ & ‘Hellraiser’

Brandon Seifert has become a big name in horror comics in just a few years. After the success of Seifert’s first series, “Witch Doctor”, from Image comics in 2010, he began collaborating with horror legend Clive Barker as the co-writer for the current ongoing “Hellraiser” comic series. In addition, he’s also written issues of “Dr. Who” for IDW, and he recently launched a new mini-series, “Spirit of the Law” at Monkey Brain.

More Details On Clive Barker’s ‘Next Testament’

Originally titled “New Genesis”, Clive Barker was asked to change the name of the series due to some legal issues with DC Comics. Boom! Studios has released further details on what is now being called “Next Testament”. This is the first original comic series created by Clive Barker (though he’s worked on “Hellraiser” comics and other titles for a while now). The series follows Julian Demond who encounters Wick, a self-proclaimed God. The two venture out into the world on a divine mission to create chaos. The first issue hits in May. READ MORE

Boom! Launches ‘Suicide Risk’ From ‘Unrwitten’ Creator

Boom! Studios announces a new project from Eisner Award-nominated author Mike Carey (“X-Men”, “The Unwritten”) and artist Elena Casagrande. Suicide Risk sees super-powered humans popping up across the globe, and most of them are using their powers for evil. Humanity is on the brink of destruction and police officer Leo Winters is one of the only good guys left.

DC Comics Demands That Boom! Change The Name Of Clive Barker’s ‘New Genesis’ Series

We recently announced the coming of Boom! Studios new comic series from Clive Barker, intended to be called New Genesis (article here). Apparently this knotted the panties of the folks at DC because New Genesis is the name of the planet of the New Gods in the DCU. However, it’s important to note that the term “New Genesis” has apparently not been trademarked, says Bleeding Cool.
