The Dual Shock 4 Controller Gets ‘Diablo III’ed’

There’s no doubt that you can’t just take Diablo III and throw it on a console. It has to be carefully and gently taken over and reformed a bit. And one thing that really needs forming is the whole controller situation. Because you have a lot more possibilities with a keyboard, transferring all those key strokes to a controller takes some finesse. Since Diablo III is also coming to the Playstation 4, there is that magical new touch pad sitting so comfortably on the top of the new Dual Shock 4 controller that will also be used to make playing the game easier and more interesting. Head past the break to check out a developer diary and learn all about it. There are no console release dates yet for Diablo III.

Blizzard Shows Off ‘Diablo III’ On PS3, Sans Auction House And Required Internet Connection

Despite being a tremendous critical and commercial success, Blizzard has spent much of the year following the release of Diablo III apologizing for its auction house, required Internet connection, and weak finale. Personally, I loved the game, even though it didn’t grab me with quite as firm a grip as Diablo II, which I continued to play off and on even a decade after its release. It’s a great game, and if the controversies bothered you enough to keep you from playing it on PC, the upcoming console version may be the one to get.

For starters, its impending release on the PS3, PS4, and possibly one or more of Microsoft’s consoles, will not bring with it a required Internet connection to play. The auction house, which for me, made the experience of finding loot less satisfying, also won’t be coming to consoles. Blizzard showed off some brand new gameplay footage taken on the PS3 at PAX East, which you can watch after the break.

Diablo III Review: Dungeons, Demons, And Daddy Issues, Oh My!

It took over a decade to get here, but the undisputed king of the dungeon crawlers is back, and oh my fuck does it taste good. Being a fan of this game is like being in an abusive relationship. You’ll invest your time, heart, and soul into this game–possibly ruining your social life in the process–and in return you’ll get one of the best gaming experiences available, peppered with the occasional Error 37 and a mean case of carpel tunnel. Head past the break for my tale of delicious terror. READ MORE

Diablo III’s Secret Level Is Way Cooler Than Axe-Wielding Cows

Diablo fans will remember the secret Cow Level in Diablo II where you fought the most terrifying evil of all: hell bovines. Forget Diablo and his hellish siblings, because legions of battleaxe-wielding cows is where the terror’s really at. The secret Cow Level might’ve been a little strange, but this newly discovered area in Diablo III takes the rainbow-colored cake. Back when the game was first revealed, some fans of the series weren’t all that enthused about its colorful new look. Now, Blizzard has immortalized their frustrations in the Whimsyshire–a realm that’s brimming with rainbows, unicorns and other amazing things. Also, I want to live here. Check it out after the jump.

If You Can’t Get On Diablo III, You Aren’t The Only One! You Are Not Alone.

Diablo III had an astonishing 2 million pre orders and over 8000 midnight launch events, so it’s not a surprise that when I try to get on the servers to play it wont let me. You can only prepare so much I guess for the oncoming demonic onslaught. Diablo III has already become internet famous for it’s “error 37″ message when you attempt to log in. It basically says the servers are busy because a bajillion fans who have been waiting for 12 years to play the game are all sitting at their computers with Mountain Dew Pitch black and 40 bags of cheetos trying to log in at the same time. Head past the break for some hilarious memes, and hang in there! I’m hanging in there by attempting to edit my Mass Effect 2 game save because I got some people killed I didn’t want to. Oh Bioware! You are ruthless!

These New Diablo III Goodies Just Couldn’t Wait For Adam

Adam is off trying to get some kind of a fancy job, so he can leave us forever as he soars like a majestic eagle into the mountains. So as much as I wanted him to post this Diablo III stuff, I felt it was time. Check out the video below, and tons of screens and art past the break.

There is still no official release date for Diablo III, however, in a sad note, it was recently revealed that the game can NOT be played offline. Not even the single player mode. You need a constant internet connection to play. More as it comes, probably from Adam, if he hasn’t gone away forever. icon sad These New Diablo III Goodies Just Couldnt Wait For Adam READ MORE
