The Forest Seeks Revenge In The New Flyleaf Video For “Call Me Out”

Hard rock band Flyleaf has released an official video for “Call Me Out”, which comes off their latest album New Horizons (review). The video is entirely animated in black and white with tons of shading that brings to mind the video game Limbo. The story revolves around a bear that captures a town of bunnies while destroying the buildings. While he is dragging them off, a murder of birds (I dont know if they’re crows but the ‘murder’ part definitely applies), a fox, and I think some deer stalk the bear, waiting for the perfect moment to strike and release their hippity-hoppity pals. Check out the video below. READ MORE

[Album Review] Flyleaf ‘New Horizons’

When news broke that Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm was leaving the band mere weeks before the release of their latest album New Horizons, it was a complete shock to fans and even casual listeners. After all, how could we, the listeners, go into this without feeling sadness, even a sense of betrayal?

But what other choice is there? I can sit back and complain, saying that I’ll never listen to the album. But what’s the point? Why would I deprive myself the opportunity to hear Lacey’s final (for the foreseeable future) offering? And so I hit ‘Play’ to see if her exit was one with grace or if it left a sour taste in my mouth. READ MORE

Flyleaf Releases Teaser For “New Horizons” Video

Flyleaf will be premiering their music video for “New Horizons”, the first single from their upcoming album of the same name, this Tuesday, the 4th, on Fuse. The album still has no release date but that will apparently be coming out soon. The teaser can be seen below.

Now, I know that the whole teaser trailer for a trailer is already a big thing with movies but do we really need this in music videos? It’s slowly becoming more and more popular and I really don’t see the point. It’s the same concept as with movie trailers. Why do I want to get a 30-second clip for something that lasts a total of 2:30 to 3:30? Seems kind of unnecessary. READ MORE
