One-Eyed Doll Goes To Silent Hill In Official “Committed” Music Video

Alright, so I’m not exactly a fan of the video or the song, but this is definitely as horror as you can get in a music video without adding in a ton of gore. One-Eyed Doll has released a video for “Committed”, which is the title track from their upcoming album Committed, which has a release date of early 2013. The video, which is directed by Patrick Kendall (Megadeth, Incubus, Theory Of A Deadman), is full of Silent Hill-esque locations, including a street, covered in fog, that looks like it ends in a sheer cliff, an insane asylum, a condemned house, and a twisted carnival. If those locations don’t scream Silent Hill, I don’t know what does.

The video is also featured in the MMORPG AdventureQuest Worlds, which has 150 million users. The band is also releasing a CD through the AQ store entitled Something About A Dragon, which features songs used throughout the game, including the first release of songs like “You’re A Vampire” and “Battle On”.

Linkin Park And Medal Of Honor Warfighter Release Behind-The-Scenes Video For “Castle Of Glass” Video

Linkin Park has teamed up with EA and Medal Of Honor Warfighter to produce their next music video for the track “Castle Of Glass”, which comes off their latest album Living Things (review). The video seems like it will have three different threads in it: the first will be band performance footage that will be, as per usual, heavily effected and digitized, the second is live-action footage shot about soldiers and their struggles, and the third will be in-game footage. You can check out the band interviews as well as video shoot footage in the behind-the-scenes video below.

Linkin Park is currently on the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus. Tour dates can be found here. Medal Of Honor Warfighter is scheduled to be released Oct. 23rd. READ MORE

Incubus singer Brandon Boyd explains, “I personally think it’s an occasion that’s kind of long overdue. We have a lot of mutual listeners, our bands, and I think that it’s one of those things that once the idea was floated, and we really kind of caught onto it, that it seemed like, “Why haven’t we done this yet?”

[Review] A Liquid Landscape ‘Nightingale Express’

aliquidlandscapenightingaleexpresscover [Review] A Liquid Landscape Nightingale Express

I’m a sucker for alternative prog-rock. There’s just enough heaviness to satisfy the metal head in me but there is also a vast amount of tones and effects to appeal to the audiophile in me. Seriously, it’s like I’m an addict and the only cure is more interesting and unique sounds. So when I did a bit of reading and checking into A Liquid Landscape, I was immediately intrigued. They cite influences such as Dredg, Porcupine Tree, Sigur Ros, Karnivool, People In Planes, Tool, and more. Talk about an impressive roster of bands to admire, right? But anyone can claim such bands influence them. The question is can they take those influences and make a unique final product? Is Nightingale Express an album that stands on its own merits? Incubus

Kia is a succubus, luring to their final perdition men who already have sinful habits and libertine inclinations. She tires of this, it’s too easy, and these souls are going to Hell anyway. She wants to match wits and charm with someone who is good. So, against the advice of her sister Amael, Kia seeks out Marc, a man who has already faced death with courage. After a night together, Kia finds that not only is Marc’s goodness still intact, but she has been ravaged by love. In anger, she and Amael conjure an incubus to deal with Marc. The incubus starts with Marc’s sister, Arndis. Who will win the struggle for souls?
