Until today, I had no idea there were even plans to bring a Killing Floor game to the struggling Ouya console. Apparently, not only were there plans, but they’ve even come to fruition, as Killing Floor: Calamity — a bloody arcade shooter that can be played solo or in two-player co-op — is available now on the Ouya.
I think I dropped the ball on this? Ah well. In it your goal is simple: to “cleanse” an area of baddies before they “cleanse” you face with their clawed tentacle arm. Or, you know, whatever. Read on for a trailer! READ MORE
Developer Tripwire Interactive has brought back their annual Twisted Christmas event for the co-operative horror shooter Killing Floor, only this year, it’s returning with brand new content. The free update brings with it two new maps — “Hell” and “Forgotten” — both of which were created by the community, as well as new achievements. If you haven’t unlocked the Baddest Santa character, the event will be live from now to January 2nd, giving you plenty time to get on that.
If you don’t already own Killing Floor, you can grab it at a discount right now on Steam. Oh, and dear Tripwire, if you’re reading this, what I’d most like for Christmas this year is news on Killing Floor 2. Forever yours, Adam. READ MORE
Are you ready for unchained, over-the-top mayhem, exploitation and goddamned amazing narration? I hope you said yes, because this week’s theme for Trailer vs. Trailer is Grindhouse, and the contestants that are battling it out today have all of the above. In one corner we have the cooperative shooter Killing Floor, and in the other we have the sufficiently zany House of the Dead: Overkill. Which one wins is entirely up to you.
Tell us which trailer you think has a tastier Grindhouse flavor after the break. READ MORE
Just when you’re knee-deep in the Pacific Theatre of Tripwire’s wonderful expansion to Red Orchestra in Rising Storm, they throw us for a loop and announce that Killing Floor will be getting a free holiday event in which even more zombie-killing goodness will grace our monitors. How dare they.
Tomorrow kicks off the Pier of Pain, which adds even more content to the game with some ridiculous new weapons, an ‘objective mode’ — basically an escort mission in the Killing Floor style — and it all takes place in a carnival from hell. READ MORE
Update (4pm): New deals have surfaced, including discounts on Resident Evil 5, Alan Wake, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Earlier today, UK-based online retailer Green Man Gaming launched their 666 Sale, which brings massive deals on a handful of horror games, including Resident Evil 6, Killing Floor (as well as its DLC), and the indie horror game Lucius, among others. Perhaps the best deal is Borderlands 2 and its season pass for just $14.99. I’d jump on that if I didn’t already own the game. If you’re interested in grabbing some excellent games on the cheap, get on this quick, because new deals will go live every six hours (the next round kicks off at 4pm ET).
For an even better deal, enter the code GMG10-U49LX-GAE17 at checkout to save an additional 10%. Full list of deals after the break. READ MORE
If you haven’t played the fantastic cooperative horror game Killing Floor, I highly recommend you get on that. It’s like Left 4 Dead, only terrifying, because instead of 28 Days Later infected coming at you, there are terrifying hell-creatures. You can also play it with five friends, instead of three, and trust me, you’re going to want as much firepower as you can get on your side as possible.
If money’s an issue for you, it isn’t anymore! Rather, it isn’t an excuse you can use for not owning this game. Thanks to the Humble Bundle, you can grab Killing Floor, its soundtrack, and all eleven DLC for a dollar — or more, as you decide the price. Full list of DLC can be found after the jump. READ MORE
Killing Floor is one of the few games that offers kick ass holiday events. Well this Halloween will be no different as we are thrown into one of my worst nightmares. Hillbilly Horrors! It’s running now until the November 6th, and for the duration you can get 75% off Killing Floor and 50% off all DLC for the game. The DLC comes with a completely rednecked out new map, new weapons, achievements, an unlockable character and more. Head past the break for all the goods as well as a bunch of new screens.
Steam Workshop is an awesome addition to the already amazing Steam. More and more games are jumping on the Steam Workshop train. Coming soon is Workshop support for Killing Floor and Red Orchestra 2. Now that I can play on Steam with my Xbox 360 controller I’m starting get into more PC games, but Killing Floor still remains one of my faves. There is a map making contest going on right now for Red Orchestra 2 and the winner gets $35,000! Soon enough all maps entered in the Counterattack Mapping Contest will be in the Workshop where you can vote for your favorite and someone will walk away with 35K. Head past the break to find out how you can save 66% on all Tripwire Interactive games.
Killing Floor has been out for somewhere around 2.5 years, and they are excited to announce they broke 1 million sales on the PC. That might not seem like a big deal, but for an independent developer such as Tripwire Interactive it’s an awesome achievement and they should be damn proud! It’s pretty much the only game my sister plays as of lately. I love the game, but I suck with mouse and keyboard, so here’s to hoping for a PSN, XBLA release!
Also, if you are late to the game or haven’t had the money for Killing Floor, now is your BEST chance to get it. Right now the game is 85% off! Get to it fast though because this deal won’t last. You can get it from Steam, Gamers’ Gate, Gamefly and more. Stats past the break! READ MORE
Cooperative PC shooter Killing Floor is getting another seasonal update just in time to celebrate Summer. Why I ask, would you go out in the sun where you could so easily get cancer, or go swimming where your chances of drowning nearly double when you could instead sit inside playing video games? When indoors your chances of being raped, murdered, or catching an incurable case of herpes are cut by almost 200%! And all that info is based off an article I just read on the Internet titled Killing Floor’s Freak Friendly Summer Extravaganza Opens June 30th, so you know it’s true.
Killing Floor’s next free update, the Summer Sideshow event, will run from June 30th to July 22nd and will bring with it a brand spanking new map called the Abusement Park. This freaky funfair is infested with all sorts of creepy creatures, including the Two-Headed Girl, Bearded Lady, and the Fleshclown (incidentally, that last one is also the name of my [CENSORED]). There are also a handful of new Steampunk character skins, and if you’re able to get 10 of the 13 new achievements you’ll unlock a special Steampunk Mr. Foster. READ MORE
Word on the virtual streets (the internet) is that Tripwire Interactive has released a Portal 2 like map for Killing Floor. Oh, and it’s free. So if you haven’t played in a while, now is a good chance to hop back on there and try it out! Screens past the break!
Back again just like the past 2 years, and like always I want to know what YOU thought was the best horror game of 2009. Last year was a good race, and Dead Space narrowly beat out Left 4 Dead for the win. I could post a top 10 of my favorite horror games of last year, but I like it better when you guys do the work for me.
And now for my wonderous disclaimer. The games on this list are that that would reflect anything horror, sci-fi, bloody and or disgusting, gory, thrillerish, creepy, aliens, ghosts, zombies, vampires, plain old really weird stuff, stuff that is outside of “normal”, there are no Mario’s in this list, no Call Of Duty’s, these are the games people cringe at. The games some people are too scared to play. The games parents don’t want their kids playing. The games that we love here on BD.

The Killing Floor map contest is over. And there are 4 new free maps that you can get. If you head past the break you can read all about them and check out new screenshots from them all. On top of all these free maps you can download there is also a Defense Alliance 2.
What is it? It is a Killing Floor mod. What’s it like? It’s team based, much like Team Fortress 2. You have 6 classes to choose from, you set up turrets, cannons, mini guns, etc, and 2 teams face off against each other. Try to complete objectives before the other team. If you head over to Steam you can watch the trailer for it now. It’s free if you have the full version of Killing Floor. READ MORE

At it again, friend of the DP, AfterTheAsylum found another game to slip past my radar, known as Killing Floor. Recently announced by Tripwire Interactive, they have purchased the rights to the game, which was originally a mod for Unreal Tournament. They will be using the Unreal Engine to create the Killing Floor game.
