[Premiere] Watch Hammer Fight’s Video For “A Corpse Is A Corpse (Of Course Of Course)”

Bloody-Disgusting is excited to bring you the exclusive first look at Hammer Fight‘s music video for “A Corpse Is A Corpse (Of Course Of Course)”. The video was directed by Dave Carey and features scenes filmed at Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash in Red Bank, NJ. The song comes from the band’s upcoming album Chug Of War. You can listen to selections from that album as well as the band’s self-titled EP here.

Bassist/vocalist Drew Murphy stated, “This video was an absolute blast to make. Buz Hasson and Ken Haeser from the Corpse comic are 100% responible for making this happen, so they deserve the most thanks. Dave Carey, our director, totally took charge of everything and did a great job. And we have to thank Walt and the guys at Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash for letting us take over their store. They couldn’t have been nicer about it.

Director Dave Carey added, “It was a real pleasure working with Hammer Fight and the guys from The Living Corpse.

The song will be featured on the soundtrack to The Living Corpse, which is the adaptation to the underground graphic novel by Ken Haeser and Buz Hasson (watch a badass trailer here). READ MORE

Oh, Don’t Worry. It’s Only A Band Of Terminators Covering “Ace Of Spades”

They say that technology is making us lazy and that machines are doing everything that we used to do. Welp, Skynet has taken things one step further and has now unveiled Compressorhead, a band comprised of robots. No, I’m not joking. At first I thought it was going to be some Chuck E. Cheese kinda deal but these guys (I don’t think I can actually say that) proved me wrong. Below is the metallic band rehearsing their cover of Motorhead‘s “Ace Of Spades”. Check it out in between runs to the grocery store. Time to start stocking up for Judgment Day. READ MORE

[LOL] Woman Posts Ad On Craigslist Looking For Man Who Fathered Her Child At Megadeth Show

This is just too good of a story to not be shared. Apparently, a 28-year old woman attended the Chicago Gigantour show, which featured Megadeth, Motorhead, Lacuna Coil, and Volbeat. During the show, she encountered a strapping young lad and the two proceeded to engage in…shall we say illicit behavior in one of the bathroom stalls. Fast forward and she finds out she is pregnant and is trying to reach the father through the majestical land of Craigslist. I’m not joking. Read on for the full posting. READ MORE

Motörhead Does NOT Want People To Buy The New Box Set

Motörhead Does NOT Want People To Buy The New Box Set
Rock band Motörhead have gone on record saying that a new box set entitled Complete Early Years should NOT be purchased by anyone, even super hardcore fans. The reason? It costs too much. Like, $600 too much. The company that put out the box set has the rights to early recordings and is putting out a 15-disc box set in a (admittedly awesome) custom skull box with light up red eyes.
“Unfortunately greed once again rears its yapping head,” says frontman Lemmy Kilmister. “I would advise against it even for the most rabid completists!”

Megadeth Resurrects Gigantour With Motorhead, Volbeat, And Lacuna Coil

Back in 2005, I was lucky enough to go and check out the first ever Gigantour, the here-and-there summer festival started by Megadeth. Needless to say, for the ticket price (I think it was something like $25), I definitely got my money’s worth. Now, Megadeth has announced that they are resurrecting the tour. However, some things have changed: First of all, it’s not going to be in the summer. Rather, the tour will start towards the end of January and run through early March. Second, there apparently won’t be a full day of music. Instead, only three other bands will be joining Megadeth on stage: Motorhead, Volbeat, and Lacuna Coil. Tour dates have yet to be announced, so keep an eye on Megadeth.com.

I’m still very interested in checking out the show but it seems like this could’ve been called something else. Imagine if Ozzfest was Ozzy headlining with Black Label Society and Fear Factory attached on the tour and that was it. Nope, not the same. Not the same at all.

See The Big 4 Plus Exodus Rock Out Motorhead’s ‘Overkill’

The show is, as of yet, the only East Coast show from these thrash metal giants but one can hope that this arrangement will keep on posting shows. To celebrate their rocking out on the East Coast, all of the bands, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, and even members of Exodus, came out and jammed out on Motorhead‘s classic song Overkill

Check out the thrash metal goodness after the jump.

[Exclusive] Check Out The ‘Sketch Book’ Special Feature From The Hesher DVD

Although Hesher isn’t horror, it is full of good old fashioned heavy metal! And so to celebrate the DVD release tomorrow, BD Music has scored one of the DVD bonus features, which shows the contents of Hesher’s sketch book! You can check out this exclusive video after the jump! WARNING: Due to nudity and some dark images, this should probably be labelled as NSFW.

Official synopsis: Loud music. Pornography. Burning s*%t to the ground.  These are a few of Hesher’s favorite things. And they are what Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) brings into the lives of TJ (Devon Brochu) and his father Paul (Rainn Wilson) when he takes up residence in the garage uninvited. Grief stricken by the loss of TJ’s mother in a car accident, Paul can’t muster the strength to evict the strange squatter and soon the long-haired, tattooed Hesher becomes a fixture in the household. Like a force of nature, Hesher’s anarchy shakes the family out of their grief and helps them embrace life once more.

Foo Fighters Release Video For Rope

Motörhead’s Lemmy Drives Foo Fighters Around In ‘White Limo’

The Foo Fighters are releasing a new album this April and have released their first single, ‘White Limo’, in anticipation. The video is filmed to look like it was done in the late 80′s/early 90′s and features the band being driven around by Motörhead’s Lemmy in, yup, you guessed it, a white limo. It’s worth checking out for how ridiculous the band gets, especially Dave Grohl.

Album Review: Motorhead ‘The World Is Yours’

Motorhead is in many ways the runt of the Metallica/Megadeth/Anthrax litter. Though not thrash metal by any means, Motorhead still had the raw energy and attitude of aforementioned bands and was, at least back in the day, as recognizable a name. However, aside from a few big hits, they fell to the wayside as the rest of the pack went on to bigger and better things. But that doesn’t mean that Motorhead has lost any of its tenacity or drive to keep on keeping on. So with that, they have released their latest album, ‘The World Is Yours’. How does it fare? Check after the jump for all the details.

Robb Flynn (Machine Head) Covers Black Sabbath In Tribute To Debbie Abono

MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn has recorded audio and video of an acoustic cover of BLACK SABBATH’s “Die Young” song from the classic “Heaven and Hell” album for free download in tribute to the late Debbie Abono, who sadly passed away on the same day as legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio.  In a statement made at the beginning of the video (which was recorded the day after Debbie’s passing and which can be viewed at this location), Robb says, “I don’t know why I recorded this song, it doesn’t really have relevance to Debbie or Dio, but I was sad and depressed and it was the only thing that made sense in the world.”

There are no plans to officially release Flynn’s version of “Die Young”, but an MP3 version of the track is available for free download HERE.

Debbie Abono, a well-respected and much-loved manager and promotional machine behind some of San Francisco Bay Area’s strongest metal bands (POSSESSED, FORBIDDEN, EXODUS, VIO-LENCE, SKINLAB), passed away on May 16 at approximately 9:59 a.m. PST after a battle with cancer. She was 80 years old.
