‘Saw’-Inspired Survival Horror Game ‘Gore Doctor’ Releases Tomorrow

Published

on

Wondering just when you’d be able to get your hands on the upcoming Survival Horror title Gore Doctor from Salient Games? You can do just that tomorrow! Yes, Salient Games has announced that Gore Doctor will be released for PC via Steam on March 22nd. And if you’ve been completely unaware of the game, you can still check out the demo, which has recently been updated.

Drawing inspiration from iconic films such as Saw, Hostel, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and even Rockstar’s Manhunt, Gore Doctor sees you in the shoes of a protagonist who finds himself abducted and imprisoned in the confines of Dr. Gorberg’s institute. Once a respected psychiatrist, Dr. Gorberg’s descent into madness followed the tragic loss of his wife, Scarlett, to an incurable illness. Unable to cope with his grief, he transformed his institute into a hellish realm of despair and death, populated by grotesque mutants resulting from his twisted experiments.

As the protagonist, players must navigate through the institute in search of an escape. However, survival comes at a gruesome cost, often drenched in the blood of others. Players will have puzzles to solve and enemies to overcome at every turn, and with your limited weaponry, it’s best to avoid conflict rather than face it.

After the success of Jurassic World Evolution and its sequel, you knew that Frontier Developments would be itching to return to the well again. That appears to be the case, as the developer/publisher has announced that they’ve signed a deal with Universal for a third entry.

According to the press release, the third game in the series is scheduled for release between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026, with the game expected to be officially announced in the coming months. If you’re wondering about the date range, that would be because Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment are currently developing a new Jurassic World film that’s slated for release on July 2, 2025.

Jurassic World Evolution remains Frontier’s best-selling game to date since its release almost six years ago.

“We are delighted to reveal that we are developing a third Jurassic World game to extend our collaborative relationship with Universal Products & Experiences for our best-selling game franchise,” states Frontier Development Chief Executive Officer Jonny Watts. “Our Jurassic World Evolution game franchise has showcased great creative and technical expertise in CMS games and the strength of our select, develop, launch, and nurture strategy in the genre. I very much look forward to providing more information on our exciting plans for the franchise in the future.”

You can grab the first two entries in the series on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
