The Crazies
I don’t know about you all but Romero’s original film doesn’t really do all that much for me. Maybe I haven’t given it a fair chance or maybe I’m right and it’s not that good of a movie, but that doesn’t matter. Breck Eisner’s 2010 remake just nailed everything I wanted out of a horror film. It’s fun, it’s scary, it’s gory, it’s exciting, it has a large scope to it, and, perhaps most importantly, there is a sense of humanity to it that few other horror films achieve. This is a film that I don’t mind putting on and rewatching pretty much any day of the week.
