Dawn Of The Dead
This was one of those horror remakes that caused an uproar upon the original announcement. Then, once it was released pretty much everyone loved it. And you know what? I love it too! While not as sharp a commentary on society as the original, the remake was a wild ride of pure horror fun (the whole opening before the title sequence rolls is alone worth the watch).
