The Fly
Were it not for the next choice on my list, I would say that this is probably one of the very best horror remakes ever created. It took the original story and elevated it to a whole new level, all while maintaining the basic concept of the original. Plus, the practical FX in this movie are nothing short of absolutely horrifying. As for the ending, I can’t help but feel such pity and remorse for Seth Brundle as he lays on the ground, using his last ounce of humanity to be put out of his forsaken misery. It’s one of those endings that has stuck with me for years.
