Bioshock
Again, yet another movie that Hollywood is supposedly working on in some form or another. When it was announced that Gore Verbinski was going to direct this film, horror fans rejoiced. His remake of The Ring was incredibly atmospheric and genuinely scary. It also had fantastic texture, something that horror films desperately need to create an effective mood. The idea that he could bring Rapture to theaters was beyond exciting.
And then it all fizzled and nothing concrete has been heard since. Is it in the works? Maybe. Am I nearly as excited as I once was? Nope. But show me a good trailer and you rekindle that fire.
