Black Sabbath – Paranoid
What else can be said about the band that essentially created the heavy metal genre? Paranoid is a landmark album, and really, it’s hard to pick one standout track. Aside from the title track, you have Hand Of Doom, War Pigs, Planet Caravan, and of course, Iron Man. Ironically, I didn’t hear the original version of Iron Man until after I had heard Therapy?’s excellent cover with Ozzy on the 1994 Black Sabbath tribute album, Nativity In Black. Needless to say, the song still rocks hard today, thanks to Tony Iommi’s iconic riff.
