Anaconda
Again, hear me out on this one. I would argue that Anaconda is a brilliant film. While it takes a bit too long for the titular reptile to start knocking of characters (and poor Eric Stoltz is relegated to a bed for about 3/4 of the film), Anaconda has some fantastic set pieces. Also, you can’t beat Jon Voight with that Paraguayan(?) accent. Of particular note is that Anaconda did surprisingly well at the box office, making over $65 million domestically. Interestingly enough, it opened just three weeks after Selena, the movie that made Jennifer Lopez a household name.
