Piranha [1978]
One of the more fun approaches to the aquatic horror genre, Joe Dante’s Piranha proved to be Spielberg’s favorite of the post-Jaws aquatic horror attempts. Spawning (no pun intended) 2 remakes and a sequel within the decades to follow, Piranha would prove to be one of the more successful franchises (subjectively, of course) to follow Spielberg’s film.
