Batman V Superman

I feel like I’m going to get an insane amount of negative feedback for this (because a lot of people like it and also because it’s not horror), but I was not impressed with this trailer. Don’t get me wrong, I want to like it and I will be there in the theater on opening weekend, but this trailer has done nothing to convince me that Zack Snyder learned from his mistakes on Man of Steel.

Sinister 2

Look, I like the first Sinister and I am excited about the sequel, but the red-band trailer that premiered over the weekend seems to give away way too much about the film. I have an issue with red-band trailers in general for this exact reason (the Evil Dead remake red-band trailer, while awesome, did show some of the best parts of the film). The only other highlights of Grammercy Pictures’ film were some creepy twins and collector’s cards. Yawn.

Ghostbusters

While I definitely agree with Mr. Disgusting that this is a pretty good picture, we seem to be in the minority. The picture has received a lot of negative reactions, qualifying it for a spot on the “losers” section of this list. What is the most depressing is that most of the negative reactions are sexist or misogynist comments. Shame.

Kevin Smith

I’m a Kevin Smith sympathizer, and I’m genuinely intrigued by Yoga Hosers (thought I’m even more intrigued by the final installment of his True North trilogy: Moose Jaws). I even liked Tusk quite a bit! That being said, Kevin Smith himself even admitted that he might need to cancel his panel when a surprise Star Wars concert was announced when his panel was about to begin. Luckily, the room ended up being about 1/3 full, so it wasn’t a total loss for the guy. Still, it must have been a little embarrassing to see a mass exodus out of the hall your panel was about to start in.
