4. Mickey Altieri (Timothy Olyphant) – Scream 2
The reason Mickey is the best out of all the Ghostface sidekicks is because he actually had a plan (and he did most of the killings). Charlie and Stu were just lackeys, but Mickey’s plan to get caught, go to trial and blame the movies in order to become famous (sort of a precursor to Jill’s motive in Scream 4) is the most understandable reason for any of the sidekicks to go along with their leader. It probably wouldn’t have held up in court, but it just showed how insane Mickey was. Mrs. Loomis even found him on a serial killer chat-room! Every parents’ worst nightmare in the 90s.
