The Mind’s Eye
Joe Begos’ The Mind’s Eye one of the most fun movies I saw in theaters this year, and wish every horror fan could experience it the same way. A throwback to films like The Fury and Scanners, The Mind’s Eye is a colorful and violent telekinetic revenge thriller set in snowy 1990 New England. It follows a drifter (Graham Skipper) with telekinetic abilities who targets a doctor who is creating a synthetic telekinetic power serum. The result is a horror film filled with head-pounding screaming, exploding body parts, and impressive gore effects. I fully expect The Mind’s Eye to reach full cult status and be a favorite among the horror crowd. It’s mind-blowing fun, literally.
