Goodnight Mommy (TWC-Dimension)
Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala’s Goodnight Mommy is Austria’s official 2016 entry for Best Foreign Film. Goodnight Mommy is a taught little thriller, but doesn’t live up to the hype. Frankly, I found the entire conceit to be a bit trite, but that didn’t stop it from being quite entertaining. In the end, it doesn’t deserve to make the ranks of a top 10, but it’s well-made and chilling enough to be highlighted on this list.
