When Allison Road was announced in May, it was the emotional tourniquet that Silent Hill fans desperately needed to stop the tears from flowing out of the hole in their hearts after Konami’s meltdown scorched the series’ once-promising future. There’s more to it than that, and it has managed to separate itself from its source material — as well as the claustrophobic confines of its original setting — to become a potentially terrifying psychological horror game.
