6. Exorcist 3: Legion (1990)
William Peter Blatty, the author of “The Exorcist,” did a great job with this one which I think is the best of the sequels. It is based off of his novel “Legion.” The movie begins with scenes of the ending of the original which ties in a lot better than “Exorcist 2,” which sucked. Overall the feel and pace of the movie is a great compliment to the original. George C Scott, is awesome in this, his acting and phrasing adds to the movie’s intensity. The scenes where he meets the “Gemini Killer” in the asylum are enough to give you white knuckles just by dialog alone. Brad Dourif – and a special appearance of Jason Miller – are both maniacal in those scenes. Great score by Barry De Vorzon.
