Bloody Disgusting’s Jimmy Champane is running around the San Diego Comic-Con like a chicken with its head cut off, but is still finding a way to mix in with some of the cool horror happenings at the largest comic convention.
Whenever someone talks about horror legends, it’s always a reference to a director like Wes Craven, an actress like Jamie Lee Curtis, an iconic character such as Jason Voorhees, or even a magazine editor along the lines of Michael Gingold. And while Todd McFarlane set the stage for high quality horror toys with his Movie Maniacs line, it wasn’t until NECA took off that we truly got what we’ve been on our hands and knees begging for.
Behind NECA’s rise to power is Randy Falk, Senior Director of 3D Development. He’s also the face of the company, which boasts astounding action figures that range from genre films to video games. In fact, I’d say Randy and NECA are responsible for many of our late credit card payments, and lack of shelf space.
We wanted to honor Randy and look at what NECA brought to the San Diego Comic-Con in 2016, including an awesome new Ultimate Jason Voorhees, as well as a massive Alien line that now includes video game figures.
