‘Night of the Demons’ – Grab Your Lipstick and Revisit the 1988 Halloween Classic on SCREAMBOX
May is coming to a close and with it came a handful of new films that have joined our SCREAMBOX horror streaming service, including the must-see ultra-gory Project Wolf Hunting, the Halloween-themed slasher sequel The Barn 2, and two SCREAMBOX Originals, The Ancestral and Creepypasta!
Even better, Halloween comes early with Night of the Demons, the ’80s cult classic about a group of teens who awaken an evil spirit.
The 1988 horror classic takes place on the night of Halloween when a group of teens decides to go to a party at an abandoned funeral parlor. While starting the party, the teens gather around a big mirror to perform a seance…BIG MISTAKE.
Also added today is Meatcleaver Massacre, featuring Christopher Lee. In the 1977 film, “When a professor specializing in ancient rites and rituals is attacked and his family killed by four of his students, he summons an evil spirit to hunt down the attackers and avenge his family.”

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
