This past Friday (the 13th) brought us 13 BRAND NEW HORROR MOVIES AND SHOWS, and while this week isn’t going quite that hard, it’s still loaded up with fresh new horrors.

Two classic nursery rhymes get horror movie makeovers with Three Blind Mice and Mary Had a Little Lamb this Halloween, and Three Blind Mice is now available today.
Uncork’d Entertainment brings the creature feature to Digital and DVD.
In director Pierre B‘s movie, “Abi is going cold turkey; her family has taken her to a cabin in the woods so she can be away from the city and all her troubles.
“However, little do they know, The Three Blind Mice is more than just a fairy tale, and they may be next up on the menu.”
“Releasing shortly after our other nursery rhyme-turned horror film Mary Had a Little Lamb, Three Blind Mice guarantees horror fans some bloody, disturbing and very entertaining pre-Halloween entertainment,” said Keith Leopard, Uncork’d Entertainment. “Pierre B, and his talented cast, deliver a title that’s bound to be extremely popular.”
May Kelly, Lila Lasso, Natasha Tosini, Samantha Cull, and Danielle Ronaldstar star.
Bloody Disgusting, SCREAMBOX and Cineverse put the camp back into summer camp with Shaky Shivers in theaters last month, and the film is now available at home.
Fast & Furious actor Sung Kang makes his directorial debut on the horror-comedy creature feature, which is now available on Digital and streaming on SCREAMBOX.
The film features stand-out performances from newcomers Brooke Markham and Vyvy Nguyen, as well as practical effects from Gabe Bartalos (Leprechaun, Gremlins 2).
In Shaky Shivers, “After finding herself bitten by a mysterious animal, Lucy becomes convinced that she will transform into a fearsome werewolf. Joined by her best friend Karen, the two embark on a wild adventure filled with magic and mayhem, as they look to do battle with a throat-slashing creature ripped right out of an 80s horror movie.“
Shaky Shivers is written by Andrew McAllister and Aaron Strongoni.
Third franchise installment The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It came along in 2021, and like the other films in the franchise it was inspired by a true story of true evil.
The film was based on the first person in the US to use “the devil made me do it” in a murder defense, and a brand new Netflix documentary explores that true story this Halloween.
Netflix’s The Devil on Trial premiered today, October 17.
“The Devil on Trial explores the first — and only — time “demonic possession” has officially been used as a defense in a US murder trial. Including firsthand accounts of alleged possession and a shocking murder, this extraordinary story forces reflection on our fear of the unknown.”
The feature documentary was directed by Christopher Holt.
Directed by Vera Whelpton & Kendall Whelpton, and from the creators of The House in Between and The Sleepless Unrest, The Haunting Lodge hit VOD outlets today.
“In this unscripted investigative documentary, American filmmakers Kendall and Vera are asked to film a remote hunting lodge in Georgia that has been experiencing paranormal activity for over a decade. Dan, the desperate lodge owner, is searching for answers, as the hauntings are scaring hunters away and could ruin his business.
“Kendall and Vera move into the lodge to begin their investigation. Vera is the first to experience the hunter’s claims, but soon they both experience terrifying events, including being touched while they sleep. They call upon psychic medium Jill Morris to help them solve the case, and she reveals that the haunting is the work of an intelligent entity.
“The lodge’s dark secrets are revealed as the paranormal activity escalates at the never-before-investigated location, and the couple find themselves in over their heads when they finally capture evidence of something otherworldly.”
Following in the wake of Hell Fest comes Phantom Fun-World, a brand new amusement park-set slasher from director Tory Jones that was released on VOD outlets today.
In Phantom Fun-World, “Struggling to support her teen brother Cole (Jace Carson), Andi Campbell (Celeste Blandon) takes a job at the soon re-opening indoor fun park PHANTOM FUN-WORLD. But the park’s jaded and horrific past violently returns in the form of The Phantom (L.C. Holt), hell bent on keeping Phantom Fun-World closed for good.”
Phantom Fun-World stars L.C. Holt (You’re Next), Wes Robinson (Blair Witch), Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), Celeste Blandon (Mr. Buzzkill), and Jace Carson (They See You).
The film is directed by Tory Jones (The Wicked One), and co-written by Jones and Jerron Spencer. Jones said, “It was super cool to bring together this cast and to do something that felt like a mixture of films we grew up loving with a fresh coat of paint, a fresh take on it. I think this film introduces a new horror character people will want to see again and again.”
