Horror In Your House’s Disappointing ‘Homecoming’

Published

on

After a few blissful weeks of horror releases, we present you with a weak and disappointing Horror In Your House that’s capped with the release of the bland thriller Homecoming, along with Peter Jackson’s mis-fire The Lovely Bones. Get the full list below.
Horror in Your House
April 20, 2010

BRAINCELL: Cinema Image

Bizarre tale of freakish experiments occurring within a creepy clinic at the University of Liverpool. A troubled young American woman travels to England to put the pieces of her shattered past back together and unwittingly ravels a nightmarish secret at the school.

FRATERNITY MASSACRE AT HELL ISLAND: Ariztical Entertainment

What starts out as a fun and adventurous fraternity pledge night, turns nightmarish when a killer clown terrorizes the pledges of Zeta Alpha Rho, killing them off one-by-one!

HOMECOMING: Paramount

A former small-town golden boy and his new girlfriend come back to visit his hometown and discover his high school sweetheart has developed an unhealthy obsession with him. His ex-girlfriend’s desperation slowly but surely becomes apparent, and all hell breaks loose as she does everything it takes to get him back.

THE HOUSE OF LONG SHADOWS: MGM

The three masters of horror, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, are back in the return of the classic gothic thriller. In a deserted house, a desperate writer comes seeking a story. When a beautiful girl comes to the rescue, he almost loses a wager, and his life. In this house, there’s room for every nightmare, and a nightmare in every room.

KNIFE EDGE: E1

Blissfully happy in her new marriage, Emma gives up her successful Wall Street career and moves with her family to a secluded country estate. But her dream of a perfect life quickly turns into a nightmare when she begins seeing strange and terrifying visions of horrific events from the mansion’s past.

THE LOVELY BONES: Paramount

From Academy Award winning director Peter Jackson comes the extraordinary story about one girl’s life, and everything that came after. When 14-year-old Susie Salmon was murdered, she left her unfinished life behind. But now from her place in a strange but beautiful in-between world, she must help her father catch her killer and protect her family before she can finally move on.

NEOWOLF: Lionsgate

Torn between the girl he loves and the dark side of his dreams of fame, a young musician is seduced by a touring rock band called “Neowolf” with a mysterious past and a hungry habit that comes with the full moon.

THE VAMPIRE OF QUEZON CITY: Pathfinder

Gruesome and grisly murders are our entry point into the psyche of the Aswang of Quezon City. More a meditation on the workings of a disturbed mind than a detective thriller, it nonetheless shows us a cat and mouse mind game. We watch and squirm in terror as the Pinoy vampire strikes again and again.
