I suppose Blizzard would like the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition, which is arriving on current and last-gen consoles, to be your go-to co-op game on whichever platform you’re planning on grabbing it on, but they’re really pushing it on PS4. With the exclusive Shadow of the Colossus armor and a special The Last of Us themed dungeon, if you have the option to choose, the PS4 version is the one to get.
In a new video for the game, which releases on Tuesday, we’re given an in-depth look at the many reasons why you won’t need another co-op game after you get this. With its local and online 4-player co-op, neither of which force you to share your loot, the ability to play the game at a friend’s house with your character and keep that progress when you return to your home console, and the new player mail feature that lets you send gold or items to friends, this truly is the ultimate version of Blizzard’s epic dungeon crawler.
The console-exclusive Nemesis system sounds especially interesting. When you die, the monster that took you down becomes a more powerful Nemesis and proceeds to hunt down some unsuspecting soul on your friends list. See all of these features and more in the video below.
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition arrives on Tuesday, August 19 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
