Honorable Mentions
I came this close to putting a Steam Early Access game on this list, but I eventually decided against it. The reason for this is when I play an unfinished game like The Forest, Darkwood, DayZ or Frozen State, as good as they may be, they’re unfinished. The other games on this list are, for the most part, feature complete. Unlike the four titles I just mentioned, they won’t continue to evolve.
I’m sure one or more of these games will leave Early Access and officially release next year, but until then, they’ve earned an honorable mention.
