Alien: Isolation 2
Alien: Isolation is a great game and it deserves a sequel. Whether or not that will ever happen is still up in the air, and it isn’t likely to get an official yes or a no until after developer Creative Assembly is finished supporting the first game.
Should they decide to follow it up, they may want to consider breaking it up into episodes. Alien: Isolation is all about scaring its players to near-death, so it’s already the kind of game that’s probably best experienced in pieces. It’s also very much a story-driven horror game, and that’s a must for episodic games. If you don’t care about what’s going on, why return for the next episode?
Really, I’ll take more Alien in whatever form it comes in, so long as Creative Assembly is behind it. They did such a stellar job with Isolation, I just don’t think there are many other developers who are capable of doing better.
