Dead Space 4

Dead Space is in trouble. The third game didn’t perform nearly as well as EA would’ve hoped, both critically and commercially, and that was more than enough for them to lock it up for awhile. I hate seeing this happen to such a promising franchise, and it’s especially tough when the first two games were so unbelievably good.
Much like Dino Crisis, for Isaac Clarke to have a future, things will need to change. This could be a reboot that brings the series back to when the Necromorphs were scary, but that’s expensive and I don’t think EA is willing to invest as much in another sequel as they did with Dead Space 3.
Another option is the episodic approach. It’s cheaper and has a greater chance of a greater ROI. There’s also the added benefit of its staying on players’ minds for a longer period of time. Whatever EA has planned for Dead Space, one thing’s for sure — it needs to continue.
