5 Multiplayer Horror Games to Look Forward to in 2015

Because a generic competitive multiplayer mode almost definitely wouldn’t work in most horror games, more developers are employing a type of competitive multiplayer for their projects called asymmetrical multiplayer. This difficult-to-remember name basically means the competing teams do not have the same goals.

As a reference, Left 4 Dead and its sequel are asymmetrical multiplayer games.

The Friday the 13th video game that’s supposedly coming in October also features an asymmetrical multiplayer where a player-controlled Jason Voorhees is tasked with seeking out and murdering a group of player-controlled teens. Of the four slasher games we have to look forward to, the brand alone makes this the title to watch.
