Escaping the Police

It makes sense that the police chase from the third episode would be used as often as it was back in 2009 to showcase exactly what this game was capable of. What helps make this scene so exciting is that it’s one of the few situations where Wake is entirely incapable of defending himself, this time from a human enemy.
The Taken are only briefly replaced by a police force led by a troubled FBI agent with a grudge against Wake, and it doesn’t take long before it veers into the supernatural. When it does, things get really interesting, because it’s not until the Darkness turns its focus toward the unsuspecting police who are pursuing Alan that he learns what his mysterious enemy is capable of — that is, the indiscriminate killing of an entire police department’s worth of innocent people.
