Cauldron Lake Lodge

There aren’t many developers that can balance action with the lulls as deftly as Remedy did with Alan Wake, which shifts gracefully between the two for much of its campaign. The best example of this comes not long after the concert crescendo, when Alan is forced to spend some time in the Cauldron Lake Lodge.
With Dr. Hartman keeping a close eye on him, Wake must face the distinct possibility that he may have a loosening grip on his sanity. All of the events leading up to this point were sufficiently crazy enough to warrant a critical look at Wake’s fragile psyche, but these questions aren’t given much time to gestate when the Darkness returns.
