A new teaser promo for Fox’s upcoming 10th season of “The X-Files” is the first time that we get to see several of the monsters that’ll be appearing throughout the six-episode run. Some are slimy, some are deformed, and some are just more advanced than ourselves.
Now, keep in mind that you’re not going to get the clearest look at these creatures unless you go frame-by-frame. Still, the 30-second spot adds a great deal of excitement and urgency to the upcoming episodes, confirming that it’ll have all the elements of the original series that we’ve come to know and love.
The presumed dead Lone Gunmen – played by Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood – are set to return for an undisclosed arc. Robbie Amell (“The Flash”) and Lauren Ambrose (Psycho Beach Party) signed on as Agent Miller and Agent Einstein, respectively.
Mitch Pileggi returns as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner, while William B. Davis will be back as the iconic Cigarette-Smoking Man in the new short-stack order of 6-episodes. Joel McHale will play Tad O’Malley, a conservative news anchor who becomes an unlikely ally for Fox Mulder (Duchovny).
“The X-Files” will make its crash landing on FOX on January 24th, 2016.
