She’s still the coolest, after all these years.
One thing we love about Jamie Lee Curtis is that she never once ran from the fact that she started her career in the horror genre, as many big name actors unfortunately do. Curtis became perhaps THE bona fide scream queen in the 1980s thanks to films like Prom Night and Halloween, and she can now be seen, fittingly, in Fox’s “Scream Queens.”
In addition to reprising the role of Cathy Munsch in the now-airing second season of the slasher series, Jamie Lee Curtis is also directing an episode that will air next month. Set to premiere on November 29th, the episode is titled “Rapunzel, Rapunzel,” and the iconic scream queen spent her Halloween this year shouting out words like “CUT!” and “ACTION!”
Over on her Twitter account (@JamieLeeCurtis), the leading lady of the Halloween franchise posted an awesome on-set photo yesterday that saw her flanked by four crew members dressed as her main adversary, Michael Myers. Yes, Laurie Strode spent Halloween with her big brother, and something about that just feels so right.
Curtis tweeted:
My crew suits up & shows up on Halloween. I have my director’s megaphone & whip & sensible shoes.
Jamie Lee Curtis and “Scream Queens” co-star John Stamos also recreated a memorable moment from Halloween H20 on the set of the show yesterday, which was posted by @JohnStamos over on Instagram. Stamos played the role of Michael Myers for the fun photo, while Curtis reprised the role of Laurie Strode.
