A couple of weeks ago, we posted an interesting fan theory found on Reddit that posited only one of the six official teasers for “American Horror Story ?6” was the real deal. That concept was met with skepticism by many but it turns out that it not only had a ring of truth to it, it was 100% on the nose.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association, FX CEO John Landgraf stated in no uncertain terms, “One is accurate; all the rest are misdirect.” He continued by explaining, “We decided, Ryan and I and [marketing president] Stephanie Gibbons, that it would be really fun this year… to keep it a mystery. There is a theme and a setting and a place and time, but we’re not going to reveal it,” per IndieWire.
This news is rather interesting as set photos from the filming of the sixth season revealed a tree with the word “Croatoan” carved into it, suggesting that one of the timelines during the show would focus on the Roanoke Colony disappearance.
I guess only time will when “American Horror Story” premieres on September 14th.
It’s been confirmed that Lady Gaga will be returning to the show and apparently we’ll be seeing Romika Annabell Osorio, Kathy Bates, and Cuba Gooding Jr. but no other casting news is known. We hope to see Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Finn Wittrock return.
